In response to the dynamic needs of our customers, ThermoFab has embarked on an ambitious facility redesign to improve our operational capabilities through the implementation of streamlined workflows, increased size capacities and enhanced finishing capabilities. This initiative is slated for completion by the end of May 2024.
Expanded Capabilities
With the investment in two new state-of-the-art 8’x5′ thermoformers, ThermoFab has expanded our thermoforming capabilities by an additional 3ft in each direction. This advancement enables us to offer much larger size capacities for thermormed components. A new CNC router machine ensures a seamless integration of precision processes and automation to maximize our production efficiencies.
ThermoFab is also broadening our spectrum of value-add finishing capabilities and sub-assembly production services. Investments in additional in-house paint booths and silk-screening capabilities allows us to provide a comprehensive solution to meet our customers’ needs.
Efficiency through Lean Principles
ThermoFab’s facility redesign has been driven by the expertise of newly appointed General Manager, Damon Bugbee, by focusing on operational and supply chain management and the adoption of lean manufacturing principles. Through Damon’s proficiency in lean manufacturing, ThermoFab has streamlined workflows, increased productivity, and ultimately reduced lead times while enhancing customer satisfaction.
