Vacuum Forming
ThermoFab’s vacuum forming process, perfect for larger parts, involves the automatic draping of a heat-softened plastic sheet over a female or male mold.
Vacuum forming and pressure forming both evacuate the sealed air space between the heated plastic and mold. Given the simplicity of the process and the tooling required, it is perfect for prototyping production parts and for production runs of up to 10,000 units per year.
