Here are a Few of Our Favorite Things from 2009

Forget raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens. Here are a few of our favorite things from 2009, including three project highlights, one very helpful document, and a 21st century superhero who really gets the job done (sorry, Batman).

To all our customers, past and present, we want to thank you for your business.

Here's to a stellar 2010 and beyond for all of us.

Seeing is Believing

Avedro specializes in advancing technology for vision correction. While its Vedera (TM) KXS is currently undergoing clinical trials and is not yet available for sale, the future looks promising for this product with its sleek thermoformed enclosure. Avedro's new procedure called "Keraflex" will correct vision by reshaping the surface of the cornea with "focused heat." When designing the enclosure, ThermoFab and design partner, Continuum, kept in mind the fact that since the procedure would be done in an ophthalmologist's suite, the product would be in full view of patients. The results of our work? The enclosure is as technologically sophisticated as the equipment it houses.

Engineering a Contemporary Look

When Brookfield Engineering came to us, its goal was to create a contemporary look for its newest product, The Powder Flow Tester. Working with the talents of Carroll Design and our proprietary thermoforming process, we were able to do just that. Read the press release. Or read the complete case study here.

A Re-Energized Look for Great Technology

Spectro Inc. "manufactures instruments for analyzing lubricants and fuel, to predict and avoid machine failure." This year, Spectro decided it wanted to update the look for one of its most innovative legacy products, the Spectroil. Enter Carroll Design and ThermoFab. The new front door to the enclosure now has three different colors, which really makes it pop. The product was also redesigned to be more compact. Talk about creative energy! We just delivered the first parts for this project, so be on the lookout for a complete case study early next year.

In-House Favorites from '09
As proud as we are of what we've done for our clients in 2009, we're also excited about two of our own unveilings:

1. The ThermoFab Design Guide. We've had record downloads of this free design guide, which is assisting designers and engineers worldwide. If you haven't done so already, we invite you to download your copy now.

2. Our in-house superhero, ThermoFab. He really is thermofabulous! Watch him in action right here.
